The project consists in the reorganization of the market square through the possibility of inserting an underground parking lot and recovering the surface space for pedestrian use.
After examining the conformation of the area and the need to connect functionally the different levels of the routes, we opted for the solution that provides for a single plane. Partly inclined and partly horizontal in connection and continuity with the city, the inclined plane has a modest slope - 4 %, that easily allows the arrangement of the weekly market but also represents a visula connection between its two parts.
The inclined plane thus becomes a single "sheet" that from horizontal becomes slightly inclined and ends up vertically. A homogeneous sheet in a sober material and of absolute adaptability to different future functions.
A rigorous sheet just softened by the luminous points sown in its development menat to distribute natural light points for the underlying parking lot that become artificial lights in evening hours to make up for the absence of the sun and to reflect the starry sky.
