Everything will change, we often hear it repeated these days, both in terms of people's behavior and in the health, economic, home, office and design role.
But perhaps for design, which for some time had deviated towards attractive expressiveness, it is a matter of re-discovering its original vocation: design is listening to society, challenging consolidated points of view, shaping the needs of society, reconfiguring production processes also in response to crisis situations.
PALINSESTO was born from the ability to adapt and in response to the needs of the moment, and it is a protection screen for individual workstations characterized by a sober and essential design that brings together the protection screen, a pencil holder and an object holder in a single item.
An object that, in times of coronavirus, allows you to isolate operators in adherence to the principles of individual protection and social distancing, but which after the emergency can continue its function as a pencil bar, object holder (or even flower holder) on the desk.
Palinsesto (the word palimpsest in the language of philologists refers to the parchment code on which, after scraping the first writing, a new text can be written - from the Greek palímpsestos from 'palin psaomai' which means "scraped again") or used again, is therefore an example of design capable of adapting to the need of the moment and to the transformations that will follow.
