A "texture" that articulates the square
Place Marinai d'Italia in Baveno appears highly irregular and bordered to the north by a disjointed setting. The project involves, therefore, the assignment to the floor of a "weaving" capable of imposing itself with respect to the shape of the square. In other words, the flooring can articulate the elements of the square; the texture of the surface pattern visibly organizes the space by freeing it of the contours. The design of the flooring, as in the important historical squares of Piazza Ducale in Vigevano by Leonardo to Michelangelo's Campidoglio in Piazza del Campo in Siena, becomes the element characterizing the urban void, the main organizer of the moment.
