MilanDC is born to enhance this area of the city, in harmony with other existing districts.
This district will therefore be addressed to different realities, heterogeneous among them but all falling within the bounded area, where each will have a double value: promoter of own initiatives and multiplier of the activities proposed by the other nodes of the network, whose involvement generates an economic and image return to members.
To highlight areas of interest within the Cadorna District and to provide informative support that guides the thematic routes within the District a strong urban furnishing project has developed: a sort of "gateway" to the emerging elements of the territory.
The project, designed by architect Fabrizio Bianchetti, is a modular construction consisting mainly of a vertical totem with information and signage function and in which communicative panels and telephone recharging USB sockets fed autonomously by a photovoltaic surface are integrated.
Moreover, the Totem can be aggregated into a modular composition, according to diversified use requirements, to parking elements, bicycle racks, rubbish bins or flower boxes to form islands that contribute to the urban furnishing of the environments.
