The 15th edition of grandesignEtico took place at the Palazzo Reale in Milan. The Plana Cultural Association assigns the grandesignEtico International Award both to designers and innovative products of companies engaged in ethical contexts.

The event, under the patronage of Regione Lombardia, City of Milan, Metropolitan City of Milan, Symbola Foundation and Adi (Association for industrial design), starts with a careful analysis of the design world and incorporates the legacy of the first design memorandum created by Adi in 1987. The result of this study is Design Memorandum 2.0, a real manifesto of ethical design that defines areas of investigation and principles, providing the coordinates to identify companies and products worthy of attention according to the principles of ethics of the productive world.

The jury chaired by Fabrizio Bianchetti and composed by Gabriele Ciullo, Ugo La Pietra, Stefano Lazzari, Marco Maggioni, Giorgio Milani, and Maurizio Secondi, in accordance with the principles of the 2.0 design memorandum select the winning projects among the finalists. "The design memorandum 2.0 - said Bianchetti - gives us the dimensions of ethical design. This is a fundamental legacy if we want this award to contribute to the birth of a new design concept that considers ethics among the main design criteria and values. We are convinced that the awarded products represent the right mix between aesthetics, functionality and ethics and can be an example and stimulus for those companies that want to stand out in the productive world".
