Milano DC – Milano Distretto Cadorna

Plana Cultural Association has developed the territorial project "Milano Distretto Cadorna" (Milan DC). This project is part of a program to enhance specific areas and districts of the city, in order to constitute a "network of different realities" whose presence and activity become the reference for national and international visitors.

The project the informative totem stems from the need to highlight, within the Cadorna District, the areas of interest and to provide support to guide the thematic routes: a "Gateway" to the emerging elements of the territory. The project is a modular construction consisting mainly of a vertical totem (a Smart tower) with informative and sockets for telephone recharge, recharging electric bikes, Wi-Fi signals, powered independently by a photovoltaic surface. The totem can be integrated into a modular composition, according to different needs of use, with seating elements, bicycle racks and planters to form islands that contribute to the functional furnishing of urban environments.
