BIANCHETTIARCHITETTURA has gained, since 1983, an experience in the realization of the Color Plans implemented in over 40 locations.

The problem that the architectural culture is facing today is no longer just the expansion phase of building operations but the management of existing buildings, their redevelopment in terms of recovery and rehabilitation. Besides the structural restoration of buildings, it is necessary to adress the chromatic design of the city as a tool for understanding and enhancing the architectural and typological characteristics of urban buildings.

This project aims therefore to be a concrete contribution to an operational practice in the recovery of the city center of Borgosesia and its hamlets. In the study, the historical colors of urban centers are analyzed, proposing an interpretation which concludes with precious technical indications on the methodologies for the recovery of the built environment. However, the study also extends to all those parts of the city, which have evolved over time even outside the historic centres, and which are located in areas subject to environmental protection. In these situations the element of evaluation will no longer be, or not only, the historical reconstruction of the original facies but the perceptive value of the whole and its landscape insertion.
